The St. Petersburg Audubon Society is currently receiving applications for the 2017 Student Grants Program. This program provides support to students with demonstrated interests in conservation that are aligned with SPAS’s mission. Created in 2015, the SPAS Student Grants Program seeks outstanding students from the Tampa Bay area who stand to make meaningful contributions to the conservation of natural resources.

This grant is designed to assist students in pursuit of their research or conservation projects that are relevant to the mission of SPAS. Educational training opportunities will also be considered if applicants demonstrate their relevance to SPAS’s mission.

Eligible students must be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate or graduate program at a local institution. Applicants must be majoring in biology, ecology, environmental policy, natural sciences, or a closely-related field. Students from other institutions who are conducting research relevant to the Tampa Bay area and SPAS’s mission are also encouraged to apply. Awards will range from $250 – $2,000. Please consult the applicant eligibility information and frequently asked questions prior to submitting an application.

Applications may be submitted online, via email, or post-marked by 17 March 2017. Please refer to the the application submission page for instructions and application requirements. Please contact us at grants@stpeteaudubon.org with application questions.
