Ecological Research Along Florida's Gulf Coast Print
Friday, June 08 2007, 19:00 - 20:00
Join Dr. Steven Harper, Research Director for Pinellas County 's Environmental Lands Division, as he presents information about ecological research conducted on preserves and management areas.  He will introduce general ecological concepts and discuss challenges associated with studying diverse natural areas.

Dr. Harper will also describe the methods and results of several on-going studies, including the investigation of populations of protected plants, habitats of a coastal barrier island, beach-nesting birds, and surveys of other organisms.  This is a great opportunity to learn more about how science can help enhance stewardship of our natural resources.

This event is free and open to the public. Pre-registration is required. Recommended for adults.
