Beach Nesting Birds: Statewide Perspective Print
Thursday, August 23 2007, 19:00 - 21:00

Nancy Douglass, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission featured speaker. Our beaches are a “happening place” for important species of coastal residents, beach-nesting birds. How can we coexist with Florida’s water birds and stop their population decline? Learn what you can do to protect the nesting areas while you enjoy the beach. For black skimmers, American oystercatchers, and various gulls, terns, and plovers, it’s a matter of survival. This event is free and open to the public. Pre-registration is requested.

Recommended for adults.

Location: 1800 Weedon Dr. NE, St Petersburg, Florida 33702
