Monofilament Fishing Line Cleanup on the Pinellas National Wildlife Refuges Print

Volunteers needed!

 

Join the Friends of the Tampa Bay National Wildlife Refuges in our annual monofilament fishing line cleanup on the Pinellas National Wildlife Refuges in Boca Ciega Bay.  We will also be taking the trash off Little Bird Key.  Canoes and kayaks welcome but not required.  We will have boats available to get to the refuge islands.  Be prepared to get wet and possibly dirty.  Please bring gloves and scissors and wear closed toe shoes.

 

Coordinating with Tampa Bay Watch and Audubon of Florida who are hosting the monofilament cleanup on Oct 20th, the Friends are responsible for the National Wildlife Refuges on Oct 7th.  Please consider helping out both days if you can.
