Shore Bird Class 08 Print
Saturday, February 09 2008, 08:00 - 12:00

Twenty five eager souls attended this year's Shorebird Class at Ft. DeSoto Park. John Ogden and Maureen Arnold described how to identify the major wintering shorebirds found on Pinellas beaches. The bird's behavior, size and movement can help  a birder differentiate from dunlins to sanderlings.

Remember to meet at North Beach at North parking area for the next two sessions on March 1 and March 15. Just look for the folks with binoculars and scopes.

Location: Ft. DeSoto Park
Contact: Maureen Arnold at 727-577-0448 or email maureenarn@ earthlink.net
