Our first program of the 2023/2024 season will be held on October 17th, 2023 at 7:00pm at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve. Join us as Beth Reynolds talks with us about ethical bird photography. We hope to see you there!

Florida Birding & Nature Festival

Each year, birders all over Florida gather to seek out lifers on field trips, attend speaker sessions, and wander the expo at this local festival in Tampa! St. Pete Audubon will be there as a vendor, and President Holley Short will be co-leading a field trip. The chapter will be looking for help to supervise our table and tell attendees all about our chapter! The festival will be held October 12-15, and we will need volunteers October 13-14.

Audubon Assembly 2023

October 27-28, Audubon Florida will be hosting their first Audubon Assembly in person since 2019! And lucky for us, it’s just across the bridge in Tampa. Don’t forget to register for the Assembly and join St. Pete Audubon at the event. A highlight is the Chapter Celebration held Saturday morning for all chapters to connect and learn about projects across the state.

Thanks to all photographers!

We were overwhelmed by the number participants for our annual calendar contest. Forty of you submitted beautiful photos, and it’s going to be a tough choice! But… will you help us choose the cover photo for 2024? The top three Roseate Spoonbill photos submitted for the “mascot” category (the cover photo!) will be available to vote on. Members, please watch your inbox in the coming weeks for your chance to cast your vote!
